(Moon Cake) festival organised by SUPP Women’s wing in Miri
Over 1,000 people from all walks of life took part in the Mid Autumn (Moon Cake) festival organised by SUPP Women’s wing on Wednesday night in Miri led by Chairperson, Datin Jennifer Chee. The walk started from Civic Centre to Miri City Fan before heading back to the civic centre again. Piasau State Assemblyman, Dato’ Sebastian Ting who officiated the opening ceremony congratulated the Woman’s wing for promoting and maintaining the culture and tradition. He said this is also to educate the younger generation of what mid autumn festival is all about.

陈超耀巡视美里沟渠工程
砂人联党卑尔骚区州议员拿督陈超耀律师披露，耗资40万令吉的美里人造湖公园路建筑暗沟工程预计会在本月杪完工。 他说，这项工程是从两个月前开始，项目涵盖建筑一条20.4公尺长的横跨人造湖公园暗沟，衔接空地42公尺长的大沟。 “目前，工程已经完成90%。” 基于工程地区是繁忙的公路，有关当局在施工时，已经尽量按照行程表完工。 陈超耀是日前与美里市长俞小珊和美里水利灌溉局工程师克里斯迪一起巡视工程时，这么表示。
Drainage improvement project at Jalan Bulatan, Miri
Construction work on the RM400,000 drainage improvement project at Jalan Bulatan is expected to be completed by the end of September, said State Assemblyman for Piasau, Dato Sebastian Ting on Thursday afternoon. 砂拉越人民联合党中央秘书长兼卑尔骚区州议员拿督陈超耀律师在其916马来西亚日感言上，代表砂拉越人民联合党向全体马来西亚国民，尤其是砂拉越和沙巴人民献上祝贺。 他说，916是全体马来西亚人重要的日子，因为当天是大家共同缅怀1963年9月16日，先贤取得的伟大成就。 他表示，时下许多年轻人不太了解916马来西亚日的意义，这主要是学校教科书的相关资料不足所致。 实际上，马来西亚是在1963年9月16日由马来亚、新加坡、砂拉越和沙巴（此前被称为北婆罗洲）一起组成。而当时1963年马来西亚成立契约是在同年的7月9日签署。当初，组成马来西亚的宗旨是让4个国家组成平等的政治与经济伙伴。 “我们必须清楚理解，砂拉越与吉隆坡的关系，并非是像彭亨与吉隆坡那样，因为我们拥有我们的自主权，而这些权益都是阐明在1963年马来西亚契约内。” 陈超耀指出，对于马来亚内的州属，他们与联邦政府的关系是早在1957年定下的马来亚契约就已经阐明；而砂拉越与沙巴与联邦政府的关系，是在1963年的马来西亚契约所阐明，而这项契约也是属于国际承认的，并在1970年9月21日在正式移交予联合国组织。 他说，在1963年的7月22日，当时的英殖民政府总督亚历山大，移交砂拉越的自治权予砂拉越首任首席部长，已故丹斯里斯蒂芬卡隆宁甘及他的内阁。而首任州元首敦阿邦哈芝奥本在1963年9月16日上任之后，也象征着英殖民政府管治砂拉越的时代正式结束。 “根据我的见解，7月22日是砂拉越的自治日，而首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿迪南沙登也已经宣布这天为砂拉越日，并且是全体砂拉越人的公共假期。” 陈超耀强调，欢庆马来西亚日的当儿，不应只是把它当作是马来西亚成立的日子看待，而是应该欢庆所有马来西亚和砂拉越人民所取得的成就，包括砂拉越摆脱英殖民政府的管治。 他表示，在砂拉越人民联合党方面，党内上下全力贯彻“捍卫砂拉越”的理念，为砂拉越和砂拉越人民的权益，争斗到底。并且全力支持由阿迪南沙登领导的砂拉越政府，向联邦政府索回权益的斗争。 他说，在全体欢庆马来西亚日之际，每个马来西亚人民都必须维持社会上的和谐，每个人民应超越种族、宗教、文化和政治背景，彼此团结一致。

The Lanterns of Unity Parade organized by SUPP Pending Women Section, SUPP Southern Zone Women Section and Sara Urusharta Sdn Bhd will commence at 8pm tonight in front of Sarawak Plaza Shopping Complex. 沈桂贤：独中足球队可为国争光
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤医生希望，独中及华小在未来能把足球踢到国家队，甚至专业队，证明马来西亚华人也是足球的一份子，让马来西亚足球队不是属于一个种族，并替马来西亚华人争光。 他日前出席全国独中足球锦标赛颁奖礼时指出，砂拉越华教不是为砂拉越华人而办、不是为了要学华语而办、不是为了学华语而办、不是为了知识而办、不是为了文化而办、不是为了利益而办，而是为了我们的根而办，我们要一代传一代，这是我们的使命。 他也透露，这也是华教精神，华教不是以个人精神领先，而是以团队精神领先。华教有今天是前辈的牺牲。 他说，足球讲求团队精神，比赛不止是为了友谊而办，而是为了足球精神而办。虽然运动设备不足，只要有体育精神，一祥可以成为国手及专业选手，替马来西亚争光。他举例，残奥也可拿那么多金牌。 当晚出席者包括，全国董总主席兼砂拉越华文独中董联会主席拿督刘利民、古晋中中校董会主席拿督黄良杰、叶宗元校长、董事们、校长们、老师们以及来自全国各地的华教同道和参赛球员们。

沈医生团队拜访巴达旺警局
自上次沈医生团队拜访巴达旺总警局之后，团队于9月14日再前往该警局。 这次是和警方磋商舒缓石角道路现有交通堵塞的方案。在这次双方会面及交谈过程中，人联党向警方反映目前石角德莎威拉路交通灯及拿督阿玛杨国斯路交通灯处的堵塞情况。 经过磋商，巴达旺警方决定从本月19日起，早上6时到8时车流量最繁忙时段派出交通警察在石角路指挥交通，以舒缓当时的堵塞情况。 当然，人联党也同时正和有关当局包括公共工程局磋商以便长期性改善现有石角路的交通堵塞问题，在有关方案未出炉前，警方派出交通警察指挥交通乃是暂时的舒缓方案。
朋岭流动服务队迅速行动
电线柱倒塌影响交通，砂人联朋岭支部流动服务队快速反应解决。 该服务队于今早大约7点接获三山花园民众的投报有关第八巷的电线因重型罗里车通过时，被其车斗勾致，导致两个电线柱应声倒塌，影响当地交通。 据当地居民同时也是砂拉越诏安会馆署理主席田松茂披露，他已于6点50分向大马电讯局做出投报。 服务队在接获投报后，社区领袖甲必丹田惜春，市议员宋开强与王志强，朋岭支部署理主席田招炎，青年团执委刘佑贤，蔡佑龙和符祥威私人助理刘爱珍也陆续前往现场了解情况。 电讯局承包商于8点左右抵达现场，以迅速的行动展开维修工程。
Clearing of telephone pole following an accident at Three Hill Garden
Kapitan Daisy Chan, MBKS Councillors Patrick Song and Ong Chee Chiang, SUPP Pending Branch Deputy Chairman Chan Chaw Yam, Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Pending Youth Committee went to inspect two telephone poles which had fallen across the road which can disrupt smooth flow of traffic, following an accident at Three Hill Garden. The accident occurred yesterday at 7 am and Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Service team alerted the authority who arrived one hour later to do the necessary clearing and repair work.

公共投诉局提醒民众勿随意处理建筑材料
砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局主任叶耀星日前接获来自Taman Hong Hong, Jalan Burung Lilin的居民投诉有屋主私自修筑涵洞及把剩余的建筑材料填入沟渠以作为接驳自家土地的用途。 收到投诉后，叶耀星与巴达旺市议会执法单位及工程部官员前往现场实地考察以寻求解决方案。 在非法施工现场视察中，巴达旺市议会执法单位根据1994年建筑物法典第8A条文发出停工通知。另外也在1996年地方议会法令第131(1)(a)条文下发出通知要求屋主在14天内把沟渠恢复到原本的状态。 巴达旺市议会执法单位也答应会持续监督有关非法工程。倘若屋主没有遵守停工通知及没有完成修复工作，巴达旺市议会将会采取法律行动。 砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局提醒居民不要把剩余的建筑材料填入沟渠以充当自家土地用途。这会影响水流量进而导致水灾。 人联公共投诉局已做好准备并尝试通过相关部门解决影响社区的公共议题。人联党公共投诉局已准备好为面对相关问题却不懂得如何处理的民众伸出援手。任何相关事宜可联系人联党公共投诉（016-7797688或082246999）或亲临人联党总部。
