The state government has decided to follow the decision of the federal government in declaring April 24 as a public holiday in Sarawak. 4月24日为砂特别公假
砂政府今日发表文告，证实砂拉越将配合第15任国家元首莫哈末五世的登基日，把4月24日列为砂拉越特别公假。 这是随着政府首席秘书丹斯里阿里韩沙较早前发文告指出，西马半岛和纳闽联邦直辖区在1951年公共假期法令第8条文下，享有1天公共假期，砂拉越如今也将该日列为特假。
Looking into lack of water supply and electricity in Tudan Desaras
Piasau state assemblyman, Dato’ Sebastian Ting together with SUPP Piasau youths went to Tudan Desaras (the resettlement area for Kampungs). He had earlier received feedback from the residents who complained on lack of water supply and electricity. Ting said he will continue to follow up the case as the Late Tan Sri Adenan Satem had approved funds to install piped water for them and CM Dato Amar Abang Zohari has also agreed on the project.

砂人联党卑尔骚区州议员拿督陈超耀律师于日前率领卑尔骚支部青年团前往美里杜当徙置区。 他在场向居民了解当地的水电供应情况，及其他民生问题。 他保证，会继续关注杜当徙置区居民的需求，而已故前任首席部长丹斯里阿德南沙登在任时，曾经批准拨款作为当地装置水管计划。而新任首长拿督阿玛阿邦佐哈里上任后，亦同意延续这项计划。
沈桂贤访问砂糖尿病协会
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤于日前访问大马糖尿病协会砂分会会所。 他感谢该会过去以来，积极帮助本地糖尿病病患，包括为他们提供治疗，而在社会上推广防范糖尿病意识。在马来西亚，糖尿病是第一慢性疾病，但实际上，它是可以防范。 与此同时，沈桂贤也感谢该会帮助一名年仅7岁的孩童，为他提供免费的测试条和打针，以控制他的血糖和糖尿病病情。
