Special federal grant for schools in Batu Kawa
A total of $750,000 Federal Special Grant for 15 schools (private, government aided & government) in Batu Kawa was recently distributed. SUPP will continue to fight for more funding from the Federal government and together with the tremendous fund raising efforts of the school boards, PIBG and the schools, the school facilities will continue to improve.

I was deeply disappointed that in the first instance the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) chose to dispose of the confiscated chicken wings by simply landfilling the chicken wings underground without consulting the matter with the Veterinary Department and the Health Department on the specific procedures for disposing of animal carcasses and poultry products. 陈超耀援助火灾灾黎
砂人联党卑尔骚区州议员拿督陈超耀律师于日前前往甘榜美利甘（Kampung Merikan）巡视。 他在社区领袖和甘榜史纳汀再也乡村发展与安全委员会成员的陪同下，前往巡视当地一家之前遭遇火患的住家。 庆幸的是，没有人在那场火患中受伤。 那间屋子共有10个家庭成员居住，目前被迫暂时住在亲友的住家。 陈超耀会协助灾黎申请政府电子关怀计划，和向相关单位反映，希望他们获得援助。
沈桂贤为砂大区域性护理学生研讨会开幕
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤于日前受邀主持2017年砂大区域性护理学生研讨会开幕礼。 他在致词时表示，该研讨会涵盖多项活动，但最主要的是，出席者的参与度，并学以致用。 他强调，学习并非只为了获得分数，最重要的是学习过程，即从中汲取知识、扩大社交圈，甚至互相分享和学习优劣等。 “希望出席者珍视这个学习机会，亦迎合全球理疗护理的快速变化。” 沈桂贤透露，世界在改变，医疗团队队长是由一名医生来担任的传统模式说法并非准确，医疗领域千变万化，若一名护理师或物理治疗师拥有一定的能力，也可胜任医疗团队队长之职。 他强调，护理势必具备关爱，而所谓关爱，包括关心工作环境、专业，甚至国家，是要关心超越工作范围以内的事，而不是有所限制。要时存好奇的心，这在人生中是重要的，因为时代在进步，要让自己充斥革新，如此才能让国家迈向前进。 另一方面，他表示，成功人生非只靠一纸学术文凭，包括拥有勤力及抗压，否则，无法在人生道路上站稳脚步；就像从碳物质形成的钻石，也需要在高温及高压下才得以形成。 同时，他以来自政治世家的自己为例，本身想要的不局限在人人谈及父亲，而是自己就是自己，因此，在年纪轻轻时候选择放弃澳洲的高薪厚职，回到砂拉越，并获得政府的支持而设立一所心脏中心。 他表示，这是一个漫长的过程，不过坚守良好的资质及态度，即使身在婆罗洲，也能给予最好的服务；并希望年轻人传播这样的意识，改变普罗大众的观念。
徐美丽：巫统议员应为自己言论道歉
砂拉越人民联合党中央妇女组主席拿汀徐美丽严厉谴责巫统昔汝莪区国会议员拿督沙布丁所发表“儿童受害者与强奸犯结婚能获得好生活”的言论。 她称，强奸是一种最糟糕的性虐待，属于可恶和残暴的行为，因此，认为与强奸犯结婚就能有好生活的言论，简直对女性和儿童是一种侮辱。这也违背政府积极保护女性和儿童权益的理念。 她强调，人联党妇女组促请政府扮演更加积极的角色，对于不尊敬女性和儿童的人或组织，给予惩罚。 “童婚课题不应该成为将强奸合法化的方式，任何将强奸犯迎娶受害者就是负上责任的说法，是极不道德的。” 徐美丽说，她对于受害者应该和强奸犯结婚的言论感到厌恶。试想，若是强奸犯是本身家庭成员，所谓的“婚姻”根本就是不可能。 她认为，沙布丁应该为自己的言论道歉，而人联党妇女组保持坚定立场，即女性和儿童的权益应该获得保障。
沈桂贤移交首相特别拨款
砂拉越地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤于日前移交首相拿督斯里纳吉特别拨款予石角区15间学校。 也是石角区州议员的沈桂贤，是在石角中学礼堂举行颁发特别拨款仪式。 受惠的石角选区学校分别是甲港中公，葫芦顶中公、金珠盛中公、味源港中公、上湾头中公、石角中公校董会、新山肚中公、尖山中公、新梯头中公、西里益中公校董会、石角中学家教协会、石角民立中学校董会、上湾头国小、尖山国小及石角RPR国小。 每所学校个别获得5万令吉拨款。 此外，沈桂贤现场也分发学优奖励金给4位大马教育文凭(SPM)及4位(大马高级学校文凭(STPM) 的学生。

Hit and run victim claim for pension, compensation, approved
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap together with SUPP members recently visited a resident of BDC Resettlement Scheme to inform him that SOCSO had approved his medical compensation of RM29,979.84 and invalidity pension of RM16.32 per day. The wife had earlier in asked for assistance on the status of his application for financial assistance in the form of medical compensation and invalidity pension. The victim had been involved in a hit and run accident – he is now bedridden and paralysed from the waist down.

沈桂贤：砂发展银行让砂政府从储备金赚取收益
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤认为，砂拉越发展银行将有助于让砂政府从储备金中，赚取更多的收益。 他表示，在过去，砂储备金都是让别人从中“赚钱”，但随着如今拥有砂拉越发展银行，将让砂政府自行决定借贷后征收多少利息，例如3%。 “如此一来，砂政府将能节省资金，甚至赚取更多的资金。” 沈桂贤是针对首席部长拿督阿玛阿邦佐哈里宣布设立砂拉越发展银行一事，这么表示。

Minister of Local Government Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said DBOS would enable the state government to earn more money from its own reserves. “Before this, other people make money from our money. 砂拉越成立发展银行
砂首席部长拿督阿玛阿邦佐哈里宣布，由州政府全资拥有的砂拉越发展银行（Development Bank Of Sarawak）正式成立，以辅助砂州未来的发展议程。 他称，砂拉越发展银行已经获得国家银行批准成立。 “砂拉越发展银行将由州政府全权管理，并且获得州政府的全资支持，而这银行只会以发展银行的模式运作。” 阿邦佐哈里是为资讯工艺设施与数码经济国际大会主持闭幕后，在新闻发布会上这么透露。 他之前曾经在多个场合表示，他即将宣布砂州的新经济模式，并作出预告，指他会在今日作出重大宣布。 他进一步说明该银行的运作时称，作为一家发展银行，砂发展银行不会承担或宣传公众的资金，而是作为一个财务模式，协助砂州策略性发展计划，以迎合州政府推动社会经济发展转型计划（2017年至2030年）。 “砂发展银行将会辅助砂州的经济发展，而州政府保证会确保这家银行的运作达致成功。” 阿邦佐哈里表示，砂发展银行的主要任务，是确保来自砂州经济活动所取得的收入，将对经济和人民带来益处。通过这项更有计划和伸缩性的资金管理，州政府将可以持续地推动经济发展和转型计划的议程。 他指出，砂州未来的策略性发展计划涵盖4大领域，分别是资讯工艺设施发展（数码经济）、能源（包括能源生产、石油和天然气）、城市公共交通（包括轻快铁）和服务业。 鉴于此，砂发展银行将会投资于私人或公共领域，以及资助砂州的策略性发展项目。 他说，砂发展银行也会扮演协调的角色，让砂州州内的资源获得充分开拓，确保砂州的经济发展更多元化和更具竞争力。同时，该银行也将会协助扩展砂州的国际经贸活动。 “此外，该银行会向州政府提供技术性协助，为各个发展项目提供策划、金融和执行上的辅助。”他表示，砂发展银行也不排除承担一些发展项目，以确保该项目达致主要议程。
