石角河滨公园工程料可明年1月招标
人联党主席兼石角区州议员拿督沈桂贤披露，砂拉越财政部已委任咨询顾问公司负责策划兴建石角河滨公园的设计工作。 他日前与巴达旺市议会秘书和该工程咨询顾问公司代表到石角天师爷巡视计划中的河岸，指示该两个单位密切合作，确保招标文件能尽快完成。 他说，若一切顺利，工程可在明年1月招标。 石角河滨公园发展计划将分成多个阶段进行，目前先拟定第一阶段的建设工程，之后根据经费继续推展和进行其他阶段。土地与测量局今年8月通知砂策划单位，使用作为美化石角河岸的地段已获得批准，随后砂财政部在9月委任咨询顾问公司，以负责策划该工程。 也是砂地方政府及房屋部长沈桂贤今年向砂政府提出美化石角河岸计划，随后砂首长拿督巴丁宜阿邦佐哈里宣布拨款500万作为计划的部分经费。

许德婉对杨巧双言论深感失望
砂拉越人民联合党中央妇女组主席许德婉对妇女、家庭及社会发展部副部长杨巧双在上周末一项对话活动中促砂拉越人放下“砂拉越人的砂拉越”区域主义，以及有着比雪兰莪州多7倍的砂拉越不应完全依赖联邦政府发展教育，特别是学前教育之言论感到相当失望。 她说，杨巧双的言论体现了她对砂拉越历史与政治认知的缺乏。如果杨巧双真的担心“砂拉越人的砂拉越”的情绪对马来西亚人构成影响，那她得先花点时间了解民间“砂拉越人的砂拉越”情绪高涨的缘由。 许德婉今日在新闻发布会上表示，既然杨巧双有着消除差别待遇的抱负，那就该去看看小学教导的马来西亚历史，看看作为组成马来西亚三邦之一的砂拉越是如何被差别对待；多年来就算为马来西亚贡献最多的石油，砂拉越又是如何在发展方面被差别对待。 “‘砂拉越人的砂拉越’是一项意识醒觉运动，在这项运动下越来越多砂拉越人认识并捍卫砂拉越在《1963年马来西亚协议》下被赋予的权益，捍卫属于砂拉越的权益，有何不妥？” 许德婉反建议，何不在履行《1963年马来西亚协议》的基础上建立“新马来西亚”，因为没有《1963年马来西亚协议》就没有马来西亚，没有砂拉越也没有马来西亚。 提到杨巧双指砂拉越有比雪兰莪多7倍的储备金，因此不该完全依赖联邦政府发展教育的评论，许德婉提醒杨巧双，教育在联邦宪法下归属于联邦政府管辖事务，砂拉越也不是没有纳税给联邦政府，所以履行对国民的义务，联邦政府责无旁贷。 “难道因为我们的财政管理比雪州好就要把联邦政府该负的责任推卸给我们吗？砂拉越政府早前还体恤联邦政府财政压力，献议贷款10亿令吉给联邦政府来加速砂州乡区学校的提升工作，帮助联邦政府为学子提供更优质的教育环境。” 她申明，如果联邦政府无法良好管理教育事务，那就拿出诚意，兑现砂拉越希望联盟的《竞选宣言》，尽速与砂拉越政府完成权力下放谈判，把教育自主权归还砂拉越。
罗克强：杨巧双应学习砂沙历史
人联党巴都吉当区州议员罗克强表示，他对于来自行动党，目前担任希盟政府妇女、家庭及社会发展部副部长杨巧双的言论感到惊讶，因为后者在砂拉越古晋的场合，亲口表示自己不认同砂拉越人的砂拉越意识。 他说，杨巧双没考虑砂拉越人感受，凸显出无情、专横和霸道的一面。他建议杨巧双回到学校学习砂拉越及沙巴参组马来西亚的历史，了解砂沙的地位。 “她应该明白，在过去数十年里，砂拉越的丰富资源及财富一次又一次被剥夺。” 罗克强今日透过文告说，杨巧双在西马享受良好道路设施，这全赖于砂拉越的石油收入，西马才有如此健全发展。但是，砂拉越人至今仍在乞求发展，希望可以赶得上西马脚步。 他强调，第14届全国大选后，砂拉越政党联盟一直致力恢复砂拉越平等地位及权益，从已故前首长丕显斯里阿德南沙登的时代，砂拉越人已被引领走向正确道路，为属于砂拉越人的权益而战。 他说，遗憾的是，1963年建国契约已黑字白纸阐明砂拉越应享有的权益，但今时今日砂拉越有什么？发展对砂拉越人而言是非常缓慢，一些乡村甚至没有基本设施，残旧学校也无法在很短时间内修复，加上医院病人人满为患，医生及其他专业人士短缺，砂拉越遭受的不平等待遇比比皆是。 罗克强表示，杨巧双期望砂拉越人认同她的言论，这是一厢情愿的想法。惟有砂拉越人才能深刻理解，过去50多年来砂拉越被西马不公平对待的感受。 他呼吁全体砂拉越人民与砂政党联盟同一阵线，为砂拉越主权及权益而奋斗。

俞小珊：美里市政局积极应对狂犬病课题
美里市长俞小珊指出，美里市政局目前捕捉921只野狗，以避免狂犬病扩散。 他指出，美里有两个地区被发现有动物感染狂犬病，分别是卑尔骚再也及罗东。目前，美里市政局积极采取必要措施遏制狂犬病疫情蔓延，如捕捉野狗。 他强调，应对狂犬病课题需要美里市民共同配合，关于狂犬病的讯息已经在社交媒体及报章上发布，希望民众可以掌握。 在狗执照方面，俞小珊指出，截至今年8月，美里市政局共发出2369张狗执照。狗主人有责任确保宠物接受狂犬病疫苗注射，以及避免它们走出户外。 他也提醒说，任何被狗咬伤者，必须马上求医。
谢家洪呼吁民众共同对抗狂犬病
人联党卑尔骚州议员拿督陈超耀律师助理谢家洪呼吁民众注意家中宠物情况，不要让狗或猫走出户外。 他强调，在美里鉴定为狂犬病疫区后，市民应该更加谨慎，避免家里宠物感染狂犬病。他说，美里市民可扮演本身角色应对狂犬病，若发现野狗出现异样，特别是狂犬病症状，必须马上拨打热线085-411866投报。 他感谢砂灾难处理及拯救委员会即时发布狂犬病讯息，任何遭狗咬伤的民众，必须使用清水清理伤口至少15分钟，并前往临近医院或诊所求医。 他也希望美里市民勿轻信谣言，共同对抗狂犬病。

Miri Municipal council Mayor, Adam Yii disclosed that a total of 921 strays from various parts of Miri had been captured to curb the spread of rabies.
