Tan Kai – stay united even though there’s a contest
SUPP youth Chairman, Tan Kai called on the delegates to be united as out of the 88 nomination forms received, they can only have 72 delegates for the youth.
Speaking at the TDC held at the grand continental yesterday morning, Tan Kai said the TDC is the best avenue for them to discuss, propose or suggest what is best for the Youth Wing.
It is through all these we will be able to reach good and fruitful resolutions.
An incumbent, Tan Kai stressed should there be a contest, he hoped it will be a gentleman one and after the contest, they should all unite and work together. “I hope after that there will be no harbouring of ill feelings against each other.”
Tan Kai also took the opportunity to thank his secretary general, Wilfred Yap for working well with him. Yap would be retiring due to his age. For a youth, the maximum age is 45.
At noon, there would be no election for the first tier, but there would be one for the committee members.
