Ramadan Bazaar ideal platform for the young to start business

The Ramadan bazaar is not just a marketplace for breaking fast meals but also an ideal platform for young people to start businesses with low risk and minimal capital, said Piasau State Assemblyman, Datuk Sebastian Ting.

Ting said the Ramadan bazaar offers accessible business opportunities, making it a suitable place for youths to experiment, hone their entrepreneurial skills, and understand market demands.

“Every year, the Ramadan bazaar not only provides traders with a source of income but also serves as a learning ground for young entrepreneurs to gain business experience and explore market demand,” he said during a visit to the Ramadan bazaar at Miri Indoor Stadium yesterday.

He noted that many successful entrepreneurs started with small-scale businesses at the Ramadan bazaar before expanding their brands to a larger scale.

“The key to success is the courage to try and the determination to keep learning and growing. This bazaar serves as the best training ground for young people to learn how to attract customers, manage business costs, and test their products in a real market setting,” he explained.

Ting encouraged young traders to leverage social media to enhance brand awareness and attract more customers.

In addition to engaging with traders, he distributed aprons to vendors and visitors as a gesture of support for local businesses.
