Sih Hua Tong plans for a satellite clinic if elected
Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP), Dato Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian said candidate for Batu Lintang, Sih Hua Tong has the heart of the people and understands their needs.
With the backdrop of the old KPJ hospital, Dr. Sim said Sih has identified an area where the government can start a satellite clinic to cater to the needs of 120,000 people in Tabuan Jaya areas. He explained that a satellite clinic is between a government hospital and a specialist which will be fitted into the government system.
This, he added, is to ensure an ease of access to medical facilities. Looking at the fact that the area is densely populated and the traffic is pretty congested, it is particularly crucial for patients to arrive at a nearby medical facility within minutes in time of emergency.
Dr. Sim said health care is important as what covid 19 has shown us how important it is for us to take care of our health.
With this unused hospital, he said, there are many rooms available for facilities that could be fit in from physio treatment, therapy room, pharmacy, hospital beds among everything available of what a hospital should have. This satellite will be between the government clinic and hospital, it is a high breed.
He assured that if Hua Tong is elected, this will be a reality for the people in Tabuan Jaya for their convenience to have a satellite clinic within their area.
Dr. Sim said this is the time for the public to give Hua Tong a chance to do things for them with a bigger platform. He said Hua Tong, despite being there 10 years still go around, has good spirit to service the people with his small platform. “I believe the people are smart and can see for themselves what Hua Tong has done and he has a fantastic report cards to show how much he has done in the last ten years,” he said.
He assured that with Hua Tong voted in, a satellite clinic will certainly be in Tabuan Jaya.
“Thus we appeal to the voters to give Hua Tong a chance to ensure there is transformation in Batu Lintang,” he added.
