Dr. Sim Kui Hian hands over fund to fire victims
Minister for Local government and Housing, Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian recently handed over the construction of housing funds to ten families to help them construct their houses which were razed to the ground last year.
Dr. Sim said the funding comes from the Ministry of Welfare and the MRP for Rumah Rakyat Miskin Sarawak by State Government for Batu Kawa area.
There were ten households of which 9 from RPR low-cost houses, and the other was located in Desa Wira. Some of the houses were partially burned while some were burned to the ground.
Dr. Sim added that out that the two grants were to allow the victims to build their houses as soon as possible. He is happy to see that some are already under construction.
