Dr Sim’s onward journey in China
Prime Minister, and his delegation, is continuing his visit to Tianjin, to make a courtesy call on HE Mdm Sun Chunlan, Tianjin Party Secretary and Member of Politburo of Communist Party of China (CPC)
Sun Chunlan is currently serving as the CCP secretary in the coastal city of Tianjun, the highest office in the Municipality.
She is the only female provincial-level party chief in China and the second in the PRC history. She is also a member of the Politiburo of the Communist party of Chian.
Prior to her post in Tianjun, Sun served as the party chief of Dalian between 2001 and 2005 and the party chief of Fujian province between December 2009 and November 2012.
