Wilfred Yap on Teras admission into Barisan

SUPP Central Youth Secretary General Wilfred Yap is greatly disappointed and shocked by the baseless and irresponsible statement blatantly made by Opar Assemblyman YB Ranum Mina, speculating that SUPP would team up with SPDP to contest against BN in the coming State Election. This is in view of the fact that YB Ranum Mina was elected on SUPP’s ticket, representing Barisan in the last State Election and his statement is, in effect, a deflection of the real issue at hand, which is Barisan Nasional’s (BN) solidarity and unity.

The statement from YB Ranum Mina is also ridiculous in view of the fact that SUPP and SPDP are currently component political parties of Barisan Nasional and have been loyal partners of BN government all the while. SUPP and SPDP do not need to contest against BN and have no intention of doing so as both parties are part and parcel of state Barisan.

“I would like to re-iterate the unwavering stand of SUPP Youth, that SUPP Youth will object any application of any political party (be it TERAS or otherwise) to join state Barisan unless there is an absolute consensus from all current BN component parties.”

Wilfred pointed out that the admission of any political party without complete consensus from all the current BN component parties will undeniably shake the moral fibers of BN solidarity and unity that have held BN together and make it strong.

SUPP Youth Central Secretary General Wilfred Yap has strong confidence that all BN component parties will stand firm in upholding the principles of their partnership and respect the views of all component parties.
