Application for invalidity pension from SOCSO
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) was recently approached by the wife of an individual residing at BDC Resettlement Scheme, Kuching seeking for assistance to find out the status of her husband’s application for financial assistance in the form of invalidity pension from SOCSO (Social Security Organization). The claimant is married with three children and the wife is unemployed.
The individual was involved in a hit and run accident resulting in him being bedridden and paralysed from the waist down and is unable to provide for the living expenses of his family.
The wife requested for assistance to speed up her husband’s application which was made three months earlier for financial aid from SOCSO as her husband is the sole breadwinner of her family.
SUPP PCB have now highlighted and brought the matter up to the attention of SOCSO and have requested SOCSO to urgently and promptly process the application of the individual concerned for financial assistance.
