Funds for long houses

SUPP Bawang Assan Branch, under the leadership of Robert Lau Hui Yew, managed to raise a total of RM35,000 for the maintenance and replacement of old roofing at the Rh Jiddy and Rh Deni. Both of these longhouses, which consist of a total of around 50 doors, feel thankful to the prompt action and effort by Robert Lau and his team. 巴旺阿山支部协助维修长屋

砂拉越人民联合党巴旺阿山支部土著区发展小组在主席刘会耀律师的带领下成功为共50户的长屋筹到三万五千令吉,以协助他们维修及更换破旧不堪的屋顶。 身兼国阵诗巫区主席的刘会耀表示:“过去几个月,土著发展区小组竭尽所能的与当地的居民进行交流,探讨,并视察,希望可以进一步的解决当地的民生问题。RH Jiddy 和 RH Deni这两间长屋,居民们因为屋顶长年失修导致破烂不堪,倘若碰上雨天,漏水问题更为严重。此次活动,得到巴旺阿山支部全体同志的支持,大家上下一心共同的为他们筹款,才得一劳永逸的解决他们切身所面对的问题。” 另外,他也提到:“下个月既是砂人联党创党 56 周年党庆,巴望阿山支部特别安排了“那新年,我们一起走过的日子”照片回顾展,就是希望透过展示旧照片,让大家重温过去的点点滴滴,当然还包括那一份为民服务的精神,更希望可以借此激发参观者心中的热情,为着这片土地和生长在这里的人们一起的来努力,共创更美好的未来。”
