CNY gifts for the poor
SUPP Batu Lintang Branch chairman Sih Hua Tong teamed up with Chairman of Tong Sin Siang T’ng Chairman, Lee Mei Chee to give a helping hand to the poor.
Rice, cooking oil, sugar, salt and other food stuff were given to the poor living in the urban area in conjunction with the coming celebration of Chinese New year.
Sih said they wanted to ensure that the poor were not forgotten during this festival season.
He said Chinese New year is a special festive for the Chinese and it is important that they bring some happiness to the less fortunate.
