砂人联党巴都林当支部主席薛华东表示，新春佳节将近，各界应该为城市上的贫穷人士及家庭，献上关怀。 他说，社会上有许多需要关注的人士，期盼着善心人士伸出援手，协助他们度过难关。 “我们应该主动付出爱心，帮助他们，尤其是华人新年将近的此刻，他们也很想和平常人一样，度过欢乐佳节。” 薛华东是于日前出席砂拉越同心善堂主办的新春布施时，发表讲话。 他赞扬同心善堂一向来活跃于各种慈善活动，并希望各界人士能给予鼎力支持，大家同心协力援助不幸一群，塑造温情社会。 砂拉越同心善堂在活动上，捐赠布施品给21个贫户家庭。在场者该堂主席李美知。
砂人联党资深领袖关注党命运
对于砂人联党陷入被吊销注册的危机，过去以来为党作出许多贡献，深受党员与人民敬仰的领袖，都对此表示关注。 众人皆表示，不愿看到历史悠久的砂人联党“消失”的一天。 作为党内的土著领袖，砂人联党署理主席拿督斯里里察烈爱党的心不容质疑。 他认为，解决党被吊销危机的最佳方法，就是重选，选出新一批的领袖，彻底结束现有的争议。 “存有争议的领袖应该退位，交出领导棒子给予新一代领袖。” 无论如何，他不想评论一旦党被吊销，本身会采取什麽步骤。 砂人联党前实旦宾区国会议员拿督杨昆贤坦言，他对于党陷入被吊销危机，深感担忧。 他说，若有需要，他愿意劝导两派领袖共同努力解决党的危机。 不过，他否认自己会协助任何人成立新党，取代人联党的地位。
Concern for the party
