Ting said the project was funded under the 2025 Rural Transformation Programme with an allocation of 160 thousand ringgit. Constructed by the Jalan 6 to 10 Jiran Wanita Committee, the upgraded facility provides 80 parking bays, including a dedicated bay for persons with disabilities. The upgrade aims to address the longstanding shortage of parking during major events organised by the association.
Expressing satisfaction with the quality of the construction, saying the works were completed to a high standard and offer strong practical benefits. He noted that the improved parking facility will not only serve Foochow Association members but also benefit nearby restaurants and the general public by providing more convenient parking options.
