Upgrading Works Begin at Kampung Luak Community Hall

The Kampung Luak community hall is set to undergo upgrading works worth RM150,000 under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) 2024, said Piasau State Assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting.

According to Ting who went to the hall today said the improvement works began on August 25 and are scheduled to be completed by December this year.

“The project will see the replacement of the hall roof, stage and floor, with the new flooring reinforced up to four inches thick. Upgrading of the toilets and maintenance of leaking roof sections outside the hall will also be carried out,” he said.

In addition, the court area will be improved with concreting works using Grade 25 concrete, screeding, and painting with weather-resistant acrylic paint. The baseline will be drawn and net posts installed in accordance with specifications.

Other works include repairing cracked walls, repainting, supplying new doors for the kitchen and toilets, as well as extending and repairing the metal roof and ceiling. A reinforced concrete footpath measuring 50 metres by 5 metres will also be constructed.

General wiring works are part of the project, including the installation of extractor fans, LED lighting, and LED downlights on the stage area.

Ting said the upgrading will provide a more comfortable and safe facility for Kampung Luak residents, adding that such projects reflect the government’s continued commitment to improving community facilities.
