Community clean up in Piasau
Piasau State Assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting commended local residents for their active involvement in a community clean-up event, stressing that maintaining a clean and pleasant living environment requires the joint effort of both the government and the people.
Speaking at the event jointly organised by the Piasau District Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) and the Piasau Residents Committee (KRT), Ting said:
“Piasau is our shared home. While the government is responsible for repairing certain infrastructure, maintaining a clean and liveable environment is a shared responsibility. I am truly grateful to the JKKK and KRT for inviting me to this meaningful programme.”
He praised the residents for coming together over the weekend to participate in the clean-up, noting that their commitment reflects a strong sense of unity and community spirit.
“I appreciate everyone who took the time out of their weekend to contribute to our neighbourhood. This cooperation not only improves the environment but also strengthens the bonds among neighbours,” he said.
Ting also noted that many residents took the opportunity to raise local concerns during the event. He assured them that these issues would be compiled and conveyed to the city council for appropriate and timely action.
