SUPP Batu Kitang provides cancer patient with oxygen concentrator
A stage 4 colon cancer patient in Kampung Haji Baki has received an oxygen concentrator, thanks to the efforts of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Batu Kitang and its team.
Batu Kitang Organising Chairman Gerald Goh personally visited the patient, expressing his deep empathy for those battling terminal illnesses. “I feel for anyone facing the final chapter of life with cancer, as I know precisely how difficult the journey can be,” he said.
The request for an oxygen concentrator came from Sheila Shiela Saff, a member of #Teamyblo, who reached out on behalf of the patient’s neighbor. Understanding the urgency of the situation, the team immediately took action.
Goh said with the support of YB Dato Lo Khere Chiang, #Teamyblo has been providing free medical beds and wheelchairs on loan to those in need within the N13 Batu Kitang constituency. This initiative aims to ease the pain and inconvenience faced by patients. However, this was the first time the team received a request for an oxygen concentrator.
After numerous calls and assistance from the National Cancer Society and several charitable organizations, a sponsor was finally found to provide the oxygen concentrator free of charge.
Goh expressed gratitude to Wan Jenazah for the generous donation and to Sheila for her dedication to helping those in need. He also prayed for the patient’s well-being, hoping that the arrival of the oxygen concentrator would bring some relief.
The compassionate efforts of #Teamyblo continue to make a difference in the lives of those facing serious health challenges in Batu Kitang.
