Datuk Sebastian Ting thanks Shin Yang for protective stone wall at Lutong beach
Piasau State Assemblyman Sebastian Ting has expressed his appreciation to the Shin Yang Group of Companies for their corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts in constructing a protective stone wall at Lutong Beach.
During a visit to the site at 8:20 a.m. today, Ting observed two excavators actively working on the project. He noted that the construction began on February 25 and is expected to be completed by next week, either on March 4 or 5.
“This will suffice for now, and we are looking forward to the construction of the permanent solution,” he said, referring to the Federal Government’s allocation of RM45 million for a long-term coastal protection project. He added that the tender for the project had been called and closed on January 31.
Ting also expressed gratitude to the people of Miri for their patience and understanding, while apologizing for the inconveniences caused.
