MPP Chairman, Tan Kai confirms dog that bit four persons on Sunday caught

A dog believed to be infected with rabies was caught by MPP enforcement Sunday night. Tan Kai said two victims had confirmed the caught dog as the one that bit them. The said dog had bitten four persons between 12 noon to 3 pm on Sunday.

The black and white dog Sunday bites the first victim, a 53 year old male on his right index finger unprovoked at Mes Pegawai Pangkalan Udara Kuching at noon. The second and third victims, who are friends aged 43 and 51 were bitten on his right knee and another on right calf at 2 pm near the library at Mile 7. The fourth, an 18 year old, was bitten in his abdominal area near his house in Sentosa at 3pm.

Tan Kai said MPP received information from the Jabatan Kesihatan that the dog was an aggressive stray.

He urged the public to be careful and if there is any information on the stray dogs that shows signs of aggressiveness to call MPP at 082 615566 or WhatsApp to MPP Hotline 013 802 5566.

He also advised members of the public not to abandon their sick or old dogs. And to ensure their pets both cats and dogs to be vaccinated against rabies annually.
