Deputy Minister for Tourism, Datuk Sebastian Ting at the closing ceremony of acupuncture training
Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting said that a positive mindset of learning and living should be encouraged for one to be content with life.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the third acupuncture training class of Chinese medicine doctor, Zhang Weiqin at noon Sunday in a Miri restaurant, Ting who is also Piasau State Assemblyman said a healthy body is everyone’s greatest wealth. Without a healthy body, it means everything is gone, because money cannot buy health.
He said traditional Chinese medicine is a creation of the Chinese nation and a treasure of Chinese culture and hoped that the students will learn more in the training class. The knowledge learned will be carried forward, allowing more students to join the team of Chinese massage and acupuncture. Ting emphasized that learning is a very important thing and one learns forever as there is no time frame for learning new things.
Today, Ting said, money can provide people with better medical conditions and health services, but it still does not guarantee good health. By having a healthy family, one needs to take care of oneself and watch what is consumed and exercise. “Only a healthy person can create a warm and happy family in the community. No matter your age, it is important to love yourself by taking care of your health not only physically but emotionally. With a stressful lifestyle, it can create a lot of illness,” he added.
