Michael Tiang is Assistant Minister for Public health, Housing and Local government

Newly appointed Assistant Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government Michael Tiang believes he can serve his Pelawan constituency better with this new appointment.

Tiang, who described the new appointment as a new mission, duty and responsibility said that the new platform would give him more resources to achieve his campaign manifesto which is to build new Pelawan.

“I am especially humble by this appointment. This is a new platform for me to serve the people.

“I want to thank our Chief Minister Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg for putting his trust and confident in me by appointing me as Assistant Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government II.

“I also thanked Pelawan voters, it is because of their mandate, now I have this privilege and honour to serve on this new platform,” he said.

He also thanked the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Party President Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian for giving this opportunity for him to learn and to help him especially in this ministry.

The Pelawan assemblyman also said he welcomed all kinds of constructive suggestions from the public so that he could learn and understand more on issues regarding to people.

He also pledged to serve the people with full dedication and would continue to fight for Sarawak interest and rights.

“I truly hope that for the coming year, us in the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) can bring changes and more development especially in my constituency,” he said.
