SUPP Batu Kawa distributes food to the needy
Sarawak State disaster management committee, through N14 Batu Kawa Service Center, distribute essential goods to residents in Batu Kawah constituency, today. This is the 6th essential goods distribution since MCO.
A total of 1000 packages of essential goods has been distributed to those approved applicants. It makes up a total of 5,150 packages being distributed to those needy since MCO period.
Batu Kawa Service Center has received 1,000 units of watermelon contributed by I B Fresh Fruits Trading. All watermelon has been given out to aid receivers today.
Batu Kawah YB, Dato Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian urged all those community leaders and SUPP regional heads, who come to collect essential goods to distribute, to be more vigilant by wearing mask and exercise 1 meter social distancing during covid-19 pandemic period. Sim said this during his visit to the distribution sites today.
All the essential goods’ distribution will only be conducted by community leaders and SUPP regional heads only, in order to avoid crowd’s cross contamination risk during covid-19 pandemic period.
Today is the start of phrase 3 of MCO, those needy are urged to contact their area community leaders or SUPP leaders, in order to get essential goods being distributed to them.
