Lorry driver seeks help from Wilfred Yap

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by an individual running a small business surnamed Boon from 11th Mile, Jalan Penrissen, Kuching requesting his assistance.

The individual had informed SUPP PCB that his lorry was seized from him for investigation purposes in September 2019 (about five (5) months ago) by Sarawak Forest Department because it was carrying 394 jungle poles which was given to him by his village friend.

According to the individual concerned, the jungle poles were to be used as support for vegetables at his  farm at 19th Mile, Jalan Serian and were not for sale. Mr Boon also informed that his lorry has still not been been returned to him by Sarawak Forestry Department  and his predicament is that  he really requires the said lorry as a mode of transportation for delivery goods and supplies bought from his company. 

Following the request for assistance received, SUPP Public Complaints Bureau had appeal on behalf of Mr Boon to Sarawak Forest Department to complete their investigation as soon as possible and return the said lorry to Mr Boon on a humanitarian basis and to address the predicament of Mr Boon with compassion and respect as Mr Boon really need the said lorry to earn his livelihood to support his family.
