Datuk Sebastian Ting invites La Trinidad Mayor to dinner
Miri council signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Municipality of La Trinidad to establish a friendship city to promote tourism, culture and Arts.
In a dinner hosted for delegates from La Trinidad, Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Datuk Sebastian Ting said through closer rapport, both cities will gain more in term of tourism. He called to the Philippines counter-part to experience themselves the wonderful sights of Miri and the most important thing which will sell Miri, the warmth and sincerity of Miriams themselves.
Romeo K Salda, Municipal Mayor of La Trinidad thanked the warm welcome from Miri and said they have been warmly welcomed and hoped that the tourism of both cities will have much to gain through rapport.
Ting thanked former Past International Director, Datin Ellis Suriyati Omar who has worked to make the trip possible. The delegates will be spending three days in Miri.
