SUPP Stakan thanks GPS government
SUPP Stakan Branch would like to thank the Sarawak GPS Government for its steadfast principle of not condoning and allowing for any racial or religious bigots from entering our shores.
The current state of affairs in Malaya with numerous inflammatory remarks on race and religion made by various bodies and individuals highlights the need for our government to continue to safeguard our Immigration autonomy jealously.
Sarawak has long maintained our harmony and understanding amongst the various races and as acknowledged by the Minister in Charge of Unity Waytha Moorthy “the unity in diversity in Sarawak is real and genuine” as opposed to the situation in Malaya.
Most recently Malaysia has seen deep division amongst the races due to inflammatory remarks made by TV preacher Zakir Naik from India who has gone against the conditions of his Permanent Residence status by making political remarks and engaging in tit for tats with Malaysian born leaders.
SUPP Stakan wishes to appeal to the Prime Minister to revoke the Permanent Residence status due to his open violation of the conditions attached to his PR status.
In Sarawak we have seen the government eject individuals’ not just foreigners but also Malayans as well when they violate their PR status and we hope the federal government will do the same to restore order and peace to our beloved country.
On the matter of Dong Zong, SUPP Stakan Branch vehemently disagrees with the opinion of the PM labeling the organization as racist.
In Sarawak the UEC is recognized and Chinese schools here are serving both the Chinese communities and the bumiputra communities, with some schools recording up to 75% bumiputra participation.
We reiterate that Dong Zong cannot be racist because factually and practically it serves all communities and by this example alone we can refute the allegations made by the PM.
We hope that all these sensitive racial and religious remarks against any race or religion will be stopped for the sake of peace and harmony in the country and for this we thank the IGP for making a clear stand on the matter and expediting action against sensitive remarks that can easily fuel sectarian violence and even civil war.
