Not surprised by PPBM move, says Milton Foo
DAP Sarawak has always shown their most vigorous objections to take in any UMNO MP into the coalition of Pakatan Harapan notwithstanding they are fully aware of the apex of PPBM are indeed formed by ex-UMNO leadership. Following the recruitment of 7 MPs from UNNO, it is further corroborated that PPBM is no different from UMNO, said Milton Foo Secretary general of youth central.
As the chairman of DAP Sarawak cum Sarawak PH Chairman, what is the stand of YB Chong Chieng Jen over such recruitment? The people of Sarawak deserve the right to know about the stance.
“I also anticipate that that there will be more “political frogs” from UMNO jumping to PPBM. The previous remarks from leaders of DAP Sarawak that PPBM is not UMNO & will not become UMNO were not only deceiving in nature but also the same gimmick used when DAP and PAS were in same ally under the previous Pakatan Rakyat.
One of the seven UMNO MPs jumped over to PPBM is YB Datuk Shabudin Yahaya who’d ever made a highly controversial statement during the debate of Sexual Offences Against Children Bill in 2017 who argued rapist might repent by marrying the victim & take good care of the victim”, he said.
This has attracted acute criticisms from DAP & me at that material time. However, Datuk Shabudin is now with PPBM in Pakatan Harapan yet we have seen DAP remains surprisingly silent.
This is an outright mockery of democracy & indeed a betrayal to the voters by taking in UMNO MPs into PH through the back door of PPBM.
It can also be seen from this incident that many decision or policy makings in PH are indeed dominated by PPBM led by the Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir. DAP though having 42 MPs in the Parliament is nothing more than a rubber stamp, always showing obedient & submissive to Tun Dr. Mahathir.
