Why Disciplinary action important to any organisation

Sih Hua Tong, SUPP Batu Lintang branch chairman said disciplinary action is not only important  to a political party but to any organisation be government body, non government body or business organisation.

“It is an important matter to uphold the organisation rules and regulation, the principle and whatever the organisation believes in. Otherwise, they would not be working towards the same principal or ideology. And this cause havoc when they are people who have selfish agenda. They will take advantage when there is no disciplinary and do things against the organisation to suit their own interest,” he said.

SUPP Youth Central Chief, Tan Kai is of the opinion that disciplinary action is very important to ensure the smooth running of any political party or any organisation, even in the business sector. “When a person joins an organisation, he must be happy to join and would know and follow the company’s rules and regulation. The purpose is to ensure that everyone gets on well with each other and do the best for the organisation. However, if anybody did not follow the rules, it would upset the whole role in the organisation and caused unhappiness,” he said.

Tan Kai said although he knows that disciplinary action is harsh, it should be done as a last resort when all avenue has been exhausted and there is no other option left. “This is to ensure a smooth running of the organisation,” he added.

Just recently, a show cause letter was issued to Sibu SUPP Chairman, Dato’ Sri Wong Soon Koh. Wong has admitted that he has received the letter but did not comment on the issue.
