Foo on army/police postal vote

Opposition complain of 4229 army/police votes in Stampin, said Secretary general of Youth SUPP.

Foo said it is an old issue, brought up during last Sarawak election. The law on this army/police votes (namely servicemen votes) is very straight forward:

Whoever is resident in a constituency, he or she can register to vote as a voter in the constituency where he or she resides, and that include army and police who serves at that constituency.

The MP for the constituency also represents these servicemen.

Today DAP is panicking because they have never been paying attention to these servicemen’s welfare in their constituency. Opposition failed to do their homework as the electoral roll is under the jurisdiction of SPR. Army/police votes exist all this while and nothing new. Since there are so many DAP MPs in the Parliament, why don’t they bring it up in Parliament if they are unhappy or think that’s unfair? Sleeping?

Foo asked the opposition to object once SPR displays the list for the public to review and object if any.

Julian Tan won the election GE13 under the same electoral system, does it mean that Julian Tan also won due to the support of the so-called “foreigners”.
