SUPP shall not be deregistered

Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) will not be de-registered and the two branches, Piasau and Bekenu’s deregistration are lifted, said party president Tan Sri Peter Chin.
Three letters, one from the Registrar of Society and two from the Home Ministry were sent to the SUPP headquarters this afternoon.
The letter from ROS to SUPP stated that all the explanation send to them on January 6 are agreeable by the ROS and the ROS has agreed not to take any action to de-register the party under Section 13(1)(c)(iv) of the ROS 1966.
Meanwhile, both Piasau and Bekenu appeal letters under Section 18 of ROS 1966 have also been approved by ROS .
