15th Youth Central annual delegates’ conference
SUPP secretary general, Dato’ Sebastian Ting urged party members to continue working hard for the people despite winning back some of the seats during the last State election.
Ting who is also the State Assemblyman for Piasau, said by working hard, it is to show the people that the party care for them and that it was not empty promises made during the election. Ting said the members must go down to the ground to hear the people’s needs and their concern.
Speaking at the Opening of the party’s 15th Youth Central annual delegates’ conference held at the party headquarters today, Ting pointed out that it is important for the youth to prepare what is expected of them now as they will be future leaders and they must lead by example. This, he added, will show the people that SUPP is a party that is sincere in helping them.
Earlier on, SUPP Central Youth Section chairman, Tan Kai said that the party’s win during the 11SE is a first step for the party. He said it is a continued battle to win back more support from the urban area and to do so, the party must emphasis on unity.
He said the youth should focus on specific issues in term of education and also disseminate and support the Chief Minister’s policies and to set up a youth sport bureau to get in touch with the younger generation.
