Walkabout by PolSec Teng
Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Teng Ung Woo went to the ground on Thursday to check on complaints brought by longhouse folks along SK Rentap.
Teng said the culvert had collapsed due to rainy seasons and soil erosion. He said he had informed JKR of the problem and hoped the matter would be resolved soon.
There was another bridge in the area which needs repairing. Teng said they will supply the raw materials and the longhouse folks will carried out the repairs in a ‘gotong-royong’ soon.
On another matter, Teng also went to a house in Nam Kiew village where he met a couple in their 80s. They were staying with a son who is suffering from cancer and the couple’s other children who were also struggling with their lives were not staying with them.
During the afternoon, Teng also paid a visit to SUPP veteran leaders as a goodwill visit.
He thanked them for their contribution to the party.
