沈桂贤：砂盟内部绝不容许白蚁
砂人联党主席拿督阿玛沈桂贤表示，砂盟成员党必须清楚知道现在的优先“大事”是“国家建构”（Nation Building），而这需要砂盟及砂人民团结一致才能达成，因此，绝对不容许砂盟内部出现“白蚁”破坏这项努力。 沈桂贤今日在砂人联党总部举行的65周年党庆升旗礼后，受询及砂盟目前是否有谈及席位事宜时，他没有正面回应，仅表示大家（砂盟成员党）都会有不同的意见，不过，也必须要知道什么是优先事项。 沈桂贤也说，他曾告诉副首相法迪拉、砂沙及西马代表，砂只是要索回契约里列明的权益，如果有列明属于砂权益那就是属于砂的，砂只想把砂的还给砂即可，砂要的不多也不少。 “每个人都需要意识到，砂有今天的成就，是因为砂人民团结一致才达成的。” 在稍早前致词时，沈桂贤不断强调团结的重要性，并提醒要防范会腐蚀内部的“白蚁”。他也指砂总理兼砂盟主席拿督巴丁宜阿邦佐哈里一再提醒，内部斗争将会分裂砂。 “砂总理强调，唯有从内部腐蚀一切的‘白蚁’才能击垮一切，也只有内部斗争才会拖累大家向前迈进的脚步。” 沈桂贤重申，砂正迈向2030年目标，不可让某些因素拖累砂脚步，现在也不是砂盟内部闹分裂时候，而是做“大事”的时候，以在1963年大马建国契约下，索回卫生、教育自主权等砂原本权益。 “今天的人联党与以前不一样，我们身在政治主流中，我们能为人民争取更多，为人民做更多事。我们可以参与政策制定，砂政府每年会拨款给华教与砂其他宗教事务单位，甚至到了2026年还可享有大学免费教育。” 他说，砂现有成就也让西马，如柔佛、槟城、雪兰莪等州属人民质问他们的政府，为什么砂可以做到，而他们做不到？ 无论如何，砂好就是等于马来西亚好，这是不可分割的事。
