沈桂贤移交拨款予美里侨南
砂政府拨款100万令吉给侨南学校，作为建设经费。砂副总理拿督斯里沈桂贤代表砂政府移交模拟支票，由侨南学校董事部秘书江山河代表领取。 沈桂贤参观侨南学校后在召开的新闻发布会上表示，砂政府重视并肯定华教的贡献，已故前首长丕显斯里阿德南在2014年起落实每年拨款支持华校及独中，今年的拨款总额已达到2200万令吉。 沈桂贤也是砂拉越华校事务委员会主席。他说，华教和华社已成为砂拉越发展建设的重要部分，政府将持续助力华教发展，特别是在教育方面。 相信当2024 年7月份开学时，首批120名学生（小学一、二及三年级）会对这所崭新学校设施感到非常兴奋。这是总理阿邦佐哈里领导下的砂拉越政府今年内提供拨款援助，完成迁校的第二所学校，只在砂拉越！ 感谢热爱华教热心人士的理解、承诺及热情，确保砂拉越现有每所华小都能从乡区缺乏学生来源的困境中继续生存，有些迁校至城市，满足大量学生需求，因为砂拉越的华教是属于所有种族及宗教的教育。
