俞小珊：砂州人民须牢记3个具有历史意义的节日
砂人联党中央宣教秘书俞小珊强调，916马来西亚日是砂州人民必须牢记的3个重要日子之一。在1963年的9月16日，马来西亚正式由4个独立国家组成，分别是马来亚、新加坡、砂拉越及沙巴。 916马来西亚日之前并未被广为人知，此前，人们只关注831国庆日。而831也是3个重要日子之一。 俞小珊说，除了上述两个日子之外，还有个重要的日子，那就是7月22日的砂州摆脱英殖民统治的独立日。砂州是于1963年7月22日取得独立后，随后才在同年9月16日参组马来西亚。 因此，无可否认的事实是，在1963年7月22日至9月16日期间，砂州曾经独立自治。而目前，每年的7月22日已被列为砂州官方的重要节日。 他表示，目前许多砂州人民提出疑问，究竟831是否应被列为马来西亚独立日，其地位是否超越916马来西亚日？ 对此，俞小珊认为若上述3个重要节日能继续被认可及重视，那么831或916哪个比较重要，就不应成为一项大课题。
砂人联党促即刻撤销阿兹米被控抵触煽动的控状
砂拉越人联党非常关注近日多名人士在煽动法令下被提控事件。 砂人联党中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师今日发文告指出：“我们尤其关注马大副法律系副教授阿兹米沙隆，针对他较早时发表了一则关于2009年霹雳宪法危机的评论，却在煽动法令第4(1)项(b)和第4(1)(c)条文下被提控。“ “我们认为这只是阿兹米个人见解，不应该在煽动法令下遭到提控。因为我们认为，学术性讨论必须受到鼓励和提倡。” 人联党认为，副教授阿兹米沙隆是马来亚大学的法津系教授。作为一名法律研究学者，他自然对时下大马和国际律发展趋势有所关注，及作出学术性诠释。 2009年的霹雳州发生的宪政危机，这对于国家宪法和行政权展趋势很重要。法律学生、律师和法律教授，难免都会就所述涉及宪法事宜进行讨论，检讨和给予各种不同见解，这是难以避免。 事实上，全世界各地大学的法律教授者经常活跃进行辨论，撰写法律文稿，和参加各种讨论会议。他们提出各种不同意见，对于他们个别国家未来法律发展非常重要。 反观我们国家马来西亚，我们也应该鼓励法律教授和学生更积极活跃进行讨论，从而提倡大马法律迈向更健全发展目标。活跃和有意义法律学术讨会，可丰富我们思维和知识。 我们必须主动积极地提倡和追求中庸之道。马来西亚拥有多元种族、多元宗教和文化，一直是国人引以为傲多元特色社会。为了国家各族群继续处于和睦共处和谐局面，国人必须续维持中庸。 事实上，占大多数保持沉默国人都持着中庸思维。 为了向所有大马国人伸出诚意之手，不论我们是谁，我们大家必须真心诚意互相尊重，全心接受对方。 真实和严肃且成熟得讨论课题，长期而言可促进中庸思维，团结全体马来西亚国民。 砂拉越人联党促请大马首席检察官应该无条件即刻撤销马大副法律系副教授阿兹米沙隆被控抵触煽动的控状。
Academic freedom, moderation and the Sedition Act
SUPP is deeply concerned with the recent increased in number of persons being charged with sedition under Sedition Act, said Secretary general, Dato’ Sebastian Ting. Kuching Buddhist Fellowship Association charity sales
SUPP Central Youth Chairman, Tan Kai officiated a fund raising vegetarian food fair at the Kuching Buddhist Fellowship Association charity sales this morning at the temple at Jalan Tun Razak. Tan Kai, who represented Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian, in his text of speech said the charity sales was to collect fund for the expansion of the Kuching Buddhist Fellowship association. He noted that vegetarian is becoming a healthy trend in Kuching and he thanked the temple associations for promoting vegetarian food.

SUPP helping out in Pengkalan Kubor by-election
A team of SUPP leaders led by President Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian helped to campaign in the Pengkalan Kubor state seat by-election. The by-election is a three-cornered contest involving Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Mat Razi Mat Ail, PAS candidate Wan Rosdi Wan Ibrahim and an Independent, Izat Bukhary Ismail Bukhary.

SUPP joined in the joyous occasion of celebrating Pehin Sri Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud, who celebrated his 78th birthday today. A colourful parade was held at the Padang Merdeka to commemorate the occasion. Members of the public came out in full force to watch the colorful parade.

朋岭支部913办中秋晚会
砂人联党朋岭支部将在本周六（13日）晚上7时30分举办中秋节晚会。 这项中秋节晚会是于新渔村双溪阿邦小学篮球场举行，其宗旨是让当地社区居民可以一家大小团聚，感受中秋节的气氛。 同时，也希望能让年轻一代了解中秋节的历史与文化。 届时，众人也可提着灯笼，沿着新渔村的道路，体验提灯笼的乐趣。 出席此活动的儿童们会获得派赠灯笼，同时，现场也备有茶点招待。
人联促请警方揪出泄题者
砂拉越人民联合党中央宣教处针对 今年小六评估考试 （UPSR）的科学试卷泄题表示遗憾，并认为大马考试局必须 揪出泄题元凶，将其绳之以法。 大马考试局发表文告指出，经过该 局调查，证实小六评估 考试科学试卷（018）的考题，已出现在一些社交媒体。 因此，大马考试局已决定把原定于本月11日进行的科学考 试，延后到9月30日进行。文告表示，教育部及大马考试局必须严正看待这次的泄题事 件，除了亡羊补牢之外，也必须确保这种泄题事件不会重演。 大马考试局主办的各种考试如果每年都传出泄题事件，这无 形中将损及大马考试局的威信，但是偏偏这种事件又一再发 生，因此，大马考试局本身也必须检讨考试的出题制度，印 发过程等等以杜绝有任何的泄机会，以建立大马考试局的良 好形象。 泄题事件已影响到考生的情绪和信心，虽然副首相兼教育部 长丹斯里慕尤丁对小六评估考试的科学试卷泄题一事深感 抱 歉，但对应届考生来说所造成伤害却是无法弥补的。因此，该宣教处赞同大马考试局对此事件报警，让警方查个水落石出。 既然，这起事件已报警并交由警方调查，警方必须马上展开 行动，调查出整个事件的来龙去脉，并大公无私将涉及者 绳 之以法。此外，该宣教处也促请大马考试局绝不可半途而废，必须跟 踪整个事件的发展，务必在最短时间内揪出泄题者，并火速将其控上法庭，以还众考生一个公道。 文告表示，只有泄题者被控告及判刑，才能起着杀鸡儆猴的 作用，永远杜绝以后再发生泄题的不光彩事件，以及恢复大 马考试局的信誉。
