Chinese eassay and calligraphy competition
The Teochew Association youth wing organised a nationwide Chinese eassay and calligraphy competition at the association yesterday morning.
SUPP President, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian who was there to officiate the function said chinese culture should be preserved and even in Chinese calligraphy art, they can have talented students from the Bumiputera community .
He said due to the unique closeness of Sarawak, a lot of Bumi students go to chinese schools and learn the chinese culture. This, he added, promoted a sense of closeness and understanding among all the races.
