SJK (C) Chung Hua No. 6 food fair
SJK (C) Chung Hua No. 6 will be organising a charity food fair on Oct 4 at the school’s premises to raise funds for the construction of a multipurpose hall.
The hall is estimated to cost around RM800,000, according to headmistress Kho Bee Leng.
It is mainly for the school’s 1,300 students to carry out physical education activities and attend school assemblies.
The fair will have some 200 stalls operating from morning to afternoon selling a wide range of food items from the sponsors.
Among those present at the ceremony were SUPP Batu Lintang branch chairman Sih Hua Tong, SUPP Batu Lintang Malay Affairs Bureau representative Penghulu Sariee Mansor, SUPP Batu Lintang Branch Village Affairs Bureau representative Inki Libong and SUPP Batu Lintang Indian Affair Bureau representative R.Ramachandran.
Some of the items donated by SUPP Batu Lintang and their specific bureaus were dry food, instant noodles and cooked food.
Sponsoring food items such as fruits, dumplings, pastry, picked vegetables, eggs, Kacang Ma, Bak Zhang were the Sungai Maong Community Association, Sungai Maong Taiji Shibashi morning class, Sungai Maong Folk Dance Group, Community 1Malaysia (Sungai Maong) and My Home Chef’s.
