A walk in the park

It was a walk worth waiting for and to Piasau Camp Miri Nature Park Society (PCMNPS) chairman, Datuk Sebastian Ting, the one hour walk at the Piasau Camp was one simple thing in life he always enjoyed. Today, it was literally a ‘walk in the park’ for him and his friends.
Ting said it was raining the whole day and he was worried that the 8th Walk in the park (since 2013) would be a wet one for him and his friends.
After 3 pm, the rays of the sun suddenly burst through the gloomy cloud and the crowd gathering at the entrance was jubilant.
Ting said the walk today was made more special when they were joined by the President of Malaysia Nature Society, Professor Dr. Maketab bin Mohamad, who flew in from Johor Bahru to give them moral support.
The trekking in the park, chatting with good friends, getting in touch with nature and bonding with his wife, Datin Sylvia Ting, he added, are some of the simple things in life which could bring a lot of joy to him.
Ting suggested to Mirians to make use of the park to walk around enjoying nature while at the same time, exercising and breathing in clean air.
The Society gathers for the walk on every Saturday of the month.
