Gawai stalls in Permai Mall
A total of forty stalls were set up in Permai Mall Miri in conjunction with the Gawai Dayak celebration.
SUPP Secretary general, Dato’ Sebastian Ting who went for a walkabout with Aidan Wing, Pujut SUPP Chairman yesterday, said the Gawai Dayak Bazaar Miri was set up from 9th to 23rd this month.
He said the respond was well received, not only by those celebrating the joyous occasion, but also a multitude of races, visited the goods and food sold there.
Ting said this is the first time such a Gawai bazaar was set up and he said the hawkers had appealed for a longer period, like a month, for the event next year.
He hoped that the authority would look into it.
