SUPP Publicity & Information Secretary, Adam Yii wishes the year of the Wood Goat to be a year of peace and prosperity. To all Sarawak Malaysians, Adam wishes the year to be filled with the 5 happiness of wealth, health, career, relationships and success.
On this auspicious day of festivities and harmonious family celebrations, it is important to thank everyone for their contributions to our prosperous society and for their efforts and contributions to Sarawak’s development.
As in the wise words of Confucius “don’t worry about being acknowledged by others; worry about failing to acknowledge them.” I would like to acknowledge and thank our senior generations who have worked hard over a long time, helping to achieve the vibrant and prosperous Sarawak that we have today. Such wealth of values that we have inherited from them in the form of experiences, knowledge, lessons that have passed down from generations to generations have made us stronger and more knowledgeable.
This brings to the tradition of telling stories. In my current responsibilities as Publicity and Information Secretary, I find that there are significant interests in the history of Sarawak including the agreement in the formation of Malaysia. It is always inspiring to me to reflect and remember the key role SUPP played in submitting the representations for Sarawak to the United Nations General Assembly. Let us as Sarawakians embrace Sarawak’s history as progress and prosperity for our continuous harmony and advancement all through the year ahead.
