SUPP Secretary General, Dato’ Sebastian Ting, on behalf of all the SUPP team wishes all Malaysians a happy and prosperous new year of health and progress for all.
And extending our good wishes to everyone celebrating this auspicious festival in other countries.
Our wonderful Sarawak is a unique State, and Sarawakians are unique people. Together as part of Malaysians and others who have settled here, and who live side by side with us, we are people who take up the challenges to be world class in the global arena while preserving the uniqueness of Sarawak.
As we commence the year of 2015, we have to put ourselves first in our State and take the next step as part of Malaysia so that as we advance forward in our progress, more Sarawakians can advance with skills in the knowledge-based economy and make a positive contribution to our society.
My wishes for 2015 are on the peace and harmony of Sarawak that are of highest priorities. This is the deep contributions that through our forefathers have laid down the foundation for us following Sarawak’s independence and as part of Malaysia. On this auspicious day, I reflect grateful on an inspiring quote of wisdom from Confucius that if one wants to define the future, they must study the past. On this 2015 Lunar New Year that I am entrusted to serve as the Secretary General of SUPP, I wish all the families and communities of SUPP to be united and connected to the deep contributions that SUPP has evolved with the progress that Sarawak has achieved and, our continuing service to the people of Sarawak.
I envision in my operational leadership of SUPP that 2015 is a time of challenge and, a time for SUPP to rise to the challenge in service to all Sarawakians. Through this challenging time ahead of us, I believe that with all our collective strength, resources, capabilities and by united together, using our intelligence, wisdom and experiences, we will tackle these challenges to thrive and have a great year that we will always remember of 2015!
