SUPP Flood Prevention Program
SUPP Central Youth Chairman Tan Kai, who is also an MBKS councillor, has requested the Kuching City South to have drains cleared to avoid blockage which would lead to flash flood during the present rainy season.
Tan Kai said it is always better to be prepared for any eventually and yesterday, with the assistance of council staff, the drains at Sg. Apong area were cleared.
Although Kuching appeared to be safe from flash flood, a number of sub urban areas and other towns were badly hit by the rising water.
