1. UPP acknowledges that they are not a component party in BN but only temporarily under “BN Plus formula”, to which SUPP has never agreed/acceded to such formula. BN Plus, if at all, is merely to accommodate those assemblyman elected under BN ticket then but who had now left the party.

2. It is nothing new to say that UPP, as a political party, is formed to serve the people and to contest in any constituencies under its own flag under the principle of democratic election.

3. There is no question or doubt that SUPP will uphold and defend its 19 seats under BN without compromise.

4. There is no way that UPP can use BN to contest unless a consensus has been unequivocally reached among ALL component parties in BN including SUPP. UPP is not a BN party and cannot be admitted to BN without a consensus of all BN component parties. It is thus misleading and untrue for Dato Seri Wong Soon Koh to say that the leadership of all BN component parties have recognised UPP as part and parcel of BN family and is within BN.
