Riot encouraging sports amongst youths
SUPP Deputy President, Dato’ Sri Richard Riot sat in to cheer the participants of Dato’ Sri Richard Riot Anak Jaem Badminton Tournament organised by the Pertubuhan Penduduk Kampung Pichin Serian at the Sarawak Badmintion Association hall yesterday (21 Dec)
Riot who was officiating the closing ceremony urged the youths to continue with their activities as sporting activities not only make them healthy but deter them from undesirable activities.
He also encouraged the youths to aim higher than the local scene and made their dreams come true for bigger international competition. Riot said everything is possible if they work hard.
A total of 12 teams consisting of 104 players took part in the competition which started on December 13 and ended yesterday.
The Championship was won by DM Sri Tabuan A team.
