Set up BR1M 3.0 Committee
Chairman of SUPP Piasau Branch, Dato’ Sebastian Ting’s has a committee set up to assist Miri folks to collect BR1M 2014.
Ting said his committee would be setting up booths at strategic areas in the city to reach out to the people to assist them in filling up relevant forms. Assistance would also be rendered to those who are handicapped or the elderly if the collection are to be done in community halls.
It is understood that next year BR1M may be banked into the accounts of the recipients. Ting said however it is done, they would be there to assist the people.
He advised those who had already collected BR1M before not to re apply as their details and other personal data are already on record.
During the last BR1M distribution, a total of 41,000 people benefited from it.
