The 2025 Taiwan Higher Education Fair will be held on May 8 and 9
The 2025 Taiwan Higher Education Fair is set to return after a five-year break. It will be held over two days, on May 8 and 9 (Thursday and Friday), at the Miri Lim Clan Association Hall.
The event is organized by the Federation of Alumni Associations of Taiwan Universities, Malaysia, co-organized by the Sarawak Alumni Association of Taiwan Universities, and hosted by the Miri Alumni Association of Taiwan Universities.
The organizing committee, led by Miri Alumni Association chairman Lin Kuo Tai, recently paid courtesy visits to Sarawak’s Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (Tourism), Dato Sebastian Ting, and Miri MP Chiew Choon Man to extend formal invitations.
More than 90 academic representatives from over 40 universities in Taiwan are expected to arrive in Miri on the morning of May 7 to begin preparations and set up for the event followed by a dinner organised by the Miri Alumni Association at 7 pm at the Golden Jubilee Restaurant.
Ting has also been invited to officiate the opening ceremony of the education fair, which will take place at 11 am on May 8 at the Lim Clan Association Hall in Miri.
This annual education fair brings together representatives from 43 renowned universities and colleges in Taiwan, including Hungkuang University, National Taichung University of Science and Technology, National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, National Dong Hwa University, Ling Tung University, National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, Yuan Ze University, Tainan University of Technology, Tamkang University, National Taiwan Normal University, Providence University, National Chin-Yi University of Technology, Lee-Ming Institute of Technology, Shih Chien University, Yuanpei University of Medical Technology, Aletheia University, Fooyin University, National Cheng Kung University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Taipei University of Technology, National Chung Hsing University, National Kaohsiung Normal University, Chinese Culture University, National Changhua University of Education, National Taipei University of Education, University of Taipei, National Chi Nan University, National Taiwan University, Ming Chuan University, China University of Technology, Soochow University, Shih Hsin University, Nanhua University, National Taichung University of Education, National Taiwan Ocean University, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, National Chung Cheng University, Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Ming Chi University of Technology, Nankai University of Technology, Chung Yuan Christian University, Jinwen University of Science and Technology, and National Sun Yat-sen University.
The fair will be open to the public from 8 am to 8 pm on May 8, and from 9 am to 5 pm on May 9. The public is warmly invited to attend and learn more about higher education opportunities in Taiwan.
