Dato IR Lo Khere Chiang checking conditions of houses for repair
Batu Kitang State Assemblyman Batu Kitang, Dato IR Lo Khere Chiang met up with four house owners in Kampung Sinar Budi and Mile 11, Kuching /Serian to check the conditions of the houses which are in a dilapidated condition.
Lo said most of the houses have leaking roofs, broken windows and doors.
“As we have a fund from the State Government to repair these houses, we have engaged a Class F contractor to do the job. Every case is different as there are different things to be repaired,” he said.
Lo thanked the policies of GPS for helping the poor to repair the houses. He said each month around 50 houses are identified and repaired.
“Since 2018, we have already repair over 300 houses in Batu Kitang. I go from the poorest of the people. The community leaders helped to identify those in need of repair,” he said.
