Re-allocation of SJKC Chiaw Nan
Sarawak Government has financial assistance for reallocation of SJKC Chiaw Nan at Taman Tuanku, Miri
Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian said the first batch of 120 students (Primary 1, 2 & 3) will be very excited with this new school facilities when school starts in July 2024.
Dr Sim said this will be the second school reopening after successful relocations this year with the financial assistance of Sarawak Government under Premier Abg Jo. “
I thank the Chinese education enthusiasts for the understanding, commitment and passion to ensure every existing SJKC licence in Sarawak “survive” from low student enrolments in rural area (SJKC Chiaw Nan was in Marudi) relocate to urban area where the SJKC over enrolled with students (in Sarawak, Chinese education is for all races and religions), ” he pointed out. He added with the RM1 million funding, Sarawak Government had assisted a total of RM5 million out of RM7.8 million construction cost.
