Adam Yii presents funding to various associations
Pujut State Assemblyman, Adam Yii presented RM56,000 in allocations to 21 groups and organizations at the SUPP Pujut branch service center during the weekend.
Yii who is also Miri Mayor said that the allocation is to develop and assist local social organizations.
He hoped that various organizations can make good use of the allocation so that members and the community can benefit and create a harmonious society.
Wishing the Muslims a happy raya which is round the corner, Yii said in Sarawak, all ethnic groups live in harmony and will celebrate festivals together. This is rare in other states, so everyone must work together to maintain this kind of harmonious.
He pointed out that petrol bombs thrown at KK Mart in Kuching should not happen here as everyone should respect each other and not destroy local ethnic harmony.
The beneficiary organizations included clubs, NGOs, Welfare organisations, religious organisations and unformed body.
