Sebastian Ting distributes aprons to Ramadan vendors

Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting advised public, especially high-risk groups, to be sensitive to the air pollution index in their areas and take preventive measures to reduce health risks caused by the haze.

The haze may be enough to cause breathing difficulties, Ting pointed out especially for asthmatics or children, which may include wheezing, shortness of breath, cough.

Ting hoped that people can take care of their own health during the haze to avoid affecting their personal health and masks should be worn at all times.

He was giving aprons to vendors at the Ramadan market set up in the parking lot of the New World Mart supermarket in Lutong. He distributed 200 pieces of aprons to vendors.

Encouraging the public to drink more water due to haze problems, Ting said they should minimize their outdoor activity time, drink more water to relieve heat, and avoid activities in the air pollution range.
